Better our government bailing them out than a foreign government purchasing shares in those corporations. Lets say China bails out FannieMay or FreddieMac by purchasing 51% will we be better off?

California is opposed to offshore drilling, but in southern California, you see oilfields surrounded by upscale housing. This whole issue is about control, not the environment, and not about helping the consumer.

There is a movie called "Idiocracy" The press will ensure that the future portrayed will come about. As stupid as the movie was it made sense. We look to rock stars or sports figures for opinions, the press tells a one sided story. It will not end unless the people step up and make it stop.

Lets run away and show muslims how we hold up our word. At least up to this point we have kept our word and tried to do what the president said we would and not let the spur of the moment attitudes make us change our minds on a daily basis.

If the ceremony is performed by a civil servant, it is by law a civil ceremony. Tell me what religion recognizes gay marriage, I must ask the Pope how the clergy feels, how about the Lutherans, or the Jewish Rabbis, or maybe even the Islamic Immams.

Please define what they want. all that they will get is a civil ceremony, claiming that they are equal under the eyes of the law. Then they will sue the churches because the clergy will not perform the ceremonies, this will then force the government to become involved in religion.
